WALA & Maroni Circus

WALA has been the main sponsor of Maroni Children’s Circus since 2008. Under the watchful eye of experienced trainers, some 40 children and young people from Boll and its surrounding area learn a variety of circus disciplines, delighting audiences at public performances. The children’s parents look after the organisation and performances which, wherever possible, are accompanied by their own circus band.

The Children’s Circus is an important addition to the cultural and artistic life of Bad Boll and its neighbouring areas. The circus experience teaches the children and young people not to be intimidated by the impressive feats of others but instead to channel their enthusiasm into energy for self-development. Here, spirited activity is chosen over passive consumption. The ability to create something together and show it to others is something that calls for self-assurance, independence and responsibility as well as a healthy self-relationship.
